In a nutshell

Out of the Sixties suburban sprawl, came Seventies suburban desolation; and the Sharpies. And, out of the Sharpies came Matty Dymond. Set in Melbourne in 1975, Sharp follows Matty as he struggles to find who he wants to be amidst a rapidly changing social, and political landscape. When he falls for Ahn, a strong and beautiful Vietnamese refugee, he must confront his anger, sadness, and ignorance. His awkward, but heartfelt, pursuit of Ahn, is set against the violent and fading days of the Sharpies, and their distinctive, and influential, music, dance and dress.
